I have been using a word 2007 loaded computer for many months. Without any
problem it let me edit, save and view old word 97, 2003, documents. All of a
sudden a problem. When I open any non 2007 file I no longer see graphics and
I have margin lines top, bottom, and sides. I have no idea how things changed
overnight. The only view that lets me see the document in the correct version
is print preview. When I send file to others they see the document correctly?

For the issue with graphics, see
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/drwgrphcs/...legraphics.htm.

As far as the "margin lines" are concerned, deselect the "Show text
boundaries" option in the Word Options dialog box (you'll find the option in
the Advanced category, under the "Show document content" heading).

The issue is that, while JM was out of commission and unable to update the
word.mvps.org site, I went ahead and published some of my updates at my own
site. I am not clear on what has been updated at the word.mvps.org site
(there were some updates I sent JM that haven't been posted), but I believe
this is one of the articles that has not been.
