Lately, when I try to select and copy text from within Word and paste it in
the same or a different Word document, nothing gets pasted. However, if I
copy something, text or otherwise from any different app, it will paste into
Word without trouble.

I have used the application CD to repair Word twice and the problem was
fixed for a short time, only to return. this is mind boggling!

Any help would be appreciated!

Follow-up: after reading some other posts with similar problems, I tried
starting word in safe mode and the problem seems to not occur.

Is there a fix for this???

If you don't experience the problem in Safe Mode, then this indicates a
problem with Normal.dot, the Registry, an add-in, or your printer driver.
Read http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...artingWord.htm and try
each of the suggested troubleshooting steps in turn.

Suzanne,

Thanks for the tip. I found a template in the word startup folder which i
removed. So far it appears to have fixed the problem.

Will try it for a few days and let everyone know.
