"select text with similar formatting" not available
The menu item in style pane or right click to select text with similar
formatting is greyed out and not available. Is there a setting in options or elsewhere to bring that function back? |

Yes, you have to have "Keep track of formatting" checked on the Edit tab of
Tools | Options in Word 2003 and earlier. In Word 2007, the option is at Office Button | Word Options | Advanced: Editing options. Note that in Word 2007, you can have this option enabled without the unwanted result of the Styles pane displaying "formatting" as quasi-styles. If you click Options... in the Styles pane, you can select what formatting (if any) you want displayed as styles. -- Suzanne S.
