how do i set up automatic numbering

I created tickets for an event at church using Word. It has numbers on it
because we will have door prizes. Is there a way that I can have it
automatically number them. I used a template in word under tickets and it
shows numbers. Right now I would have to manually change each number, any
suggestions.
