Default problem with page numbering and printing

I've got a fifty page pamphlet ready for printing but the printer
wants it in the following format:

page 52 page1
page 51 page 2
page 50 page 3
page 49 page 4

and so on

first problem, how can I renumber the pages; I don't mind doing them
individually but can find no feature for that, unlike with good old
WordStar.

second, how can I move the pages around ie page 49 to the 4th page.

Any help gratefully received

You can renumber the pages with a combination of fields e.g.

{ ={ Numpages } - { Page } + 1 }

but as Word is not a page layout application, there are no 'pages' as such,
merely text flowed to the limits set by the margins and the printer driver.
I would be inclined therefore to 'print' to a PDF driver (PrimoPDF is
freeware if you don't have one) and set the properties of the driver to
print in reverse order. Get the printer to print the PDF file.

I believe the issue here, Graham, is that the printer wants the document in
"Book fold" order.

I believe you may be right, but that is not what was asked.

Well, that's the way I read it, but you may be right that all the printer
wants is the pages in reverse order, in which case presumably they could be
printed to PDF in reverse order.

To me, though, the tipoff is that the printer is asking for "page 52" when
the OP says it is a "50-page pamphlet."
