Using Multilevels
I am not able to use the Tab key to demote the numbers in the main portion of
my list from 2 to a. I can get it to demote using the indent button only. The help screen says I can use the Tab key or the indent button. I am using Word 2007 and the operating system is Vista. |

Using Multilevels
Click the Office button, and then click Word Options. In the Proofing
category, click the AutoCorrect Options button. On the AutoFormat As You Type tab, select the "Set left and first indent with tabs and backspaces" option. Click OK twice. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Sandra" wrote: I am not able to use the Tab key to demote the numbers in the main portion of my list from 2 to a.
