Index without indentations
Hi everyone,
I need to create an index with items and phone numbers, that looks like this: Location A..................................(555) 1212...................................1 Location B..................................(555) 1213...................................2 and so on. I am willing to either edit my bookmarks or work with formatting/templates to make the index look this way, but I am not very knowledgeable with Word and I haven't been able to figure out a way to do it. Any ideas? |

Index without indentations
Is the "Location" line treated as a main entry in the Index, and the
"1212" line as a subentry? If so, there's a Paragraph Style associated with each of those two things Normally, they'll be called "Index 1" and "Index 2" respectively. Put your cursor in one of the entries whose indentation (s) you want to change, and move the tiny triangles in the Ruler at the top of the screen (or right-click and choose Paragraph, and type numbers in the various boxes for Indentation). The index styles are set so that if you make a change in one instance of that style, all the instances change. (This is for Word2007. I expect it works similarly in Word2003.) Index without indentations
Hi all,
Sorry, my original post did not format correctly, ironically. What I really want is to have an index with a name, phone number, and page number, each on the same line, but tab indented so that there appear to be 3 columns. Any help is greatly appreciated.
