Default Auto Text change

I'm trying to use Auto Text in Office 2003. Instead of having the text (i.e.
Dear, Thank You , ATTN it only has sign in to Office Live Workspace Beta.

What is wrong? I have used Auto Text before with no problems but now it all
gone. How do I go back to the regular Auto Text, with the canned text?

I am having the same problem - unintatlling the plugin does not rectify the
problem. I have googled everywhere, but no solutions available...

Try the following: Exit Word and rename the Normal template (normal.dot).
The next time you start Word, a fresh copy with factory default settings
will be created.

To delete normal.dot you can search for it in Windows; be sure to search
hidden files and folders.

I'm not familiar with the plug-in that you mentioned. Are you sure that you
managed to uninstall it properly?

I think this is the plugin that causes the problem:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

I have tried reinstalling it, then doing an uninstall, but the autotext
still says "log in to office live workspace beta".

I don't know when I installed Office Live Workspace Beta - I never install
Betas so I can only imagine that it was installed by some automatic update.
I really don't want any "cloud" computing (which seems to be what Office
Live is?) - I'd really like to get rid of it comepletely.

See if there are any "left-overs" (that is, a global add-in for example) in
the Startup folder after you have uninstalled the plugin. For more on this,
see http://word.mvps.org/faqs/customizat...sInstalled.htm.

I've followed all those instructions (thanks) but there was nothing there
that shouldn't be there, and the problem remains unfortunately

Have you tried deleting the Data key in the registry
(HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\vers ion_number_here\Word\Data),
or why not the whole Word key for that matter?
