I want to create a document with the font color changing from one color to
another and another and etc., etc., say starting with blue and ending in red, going to through multiple colors without just changing the color of one word and then another. I want gradiated colors, if that makes sense |

I want gradiated colors, if that makes sense Use WordArt, and choose the formatting near the middle of the WordArt gallery that has the kind of coloring you asked for.
