Is there a way to create a master document in word 2007? (40 chapters @
142,000 words) Years ago, Lotus had a very simple way to do this, but I can't find anything comparable in MS Word 2007. Thanks. |

CTRL-f9 and use INCLUDETEXT in the field, followed by the file name. You'll
need two slashed instead of one when using absolute file names, e.g., { INCLUDETEXT "C:\\Documents and Settings\\My Documents\\Filea.doc"} You need to do that for each chapter. I suggest you create a separate section for each chapter as well. kurt "Wordweaver" wrote: Is there a way to create a master document in word 2007? Hi Petersk,
Do you know of a way to create a master index for multiple chapters? Bernard "petersk" wrote: CTRL-f9 and use INCLUDETEXT in the field, followed by the file name.
