Default Footers & forms

Hi,

I have created a word 2003 template with protected fields in the main page.
We need people to be able to access the footer to add a name etc but when the
document is protected they can't access the footers. Is there a solution or
way around this?

I'd really love to know either way...

What do you actually want them to enter into the footer. You could be
docvariable fields in the footer and then use some vba code to get the data
from the user to be entered into the variables so that it will be displayed
in those fields,.

Hope this helps,

If the data appears in the document body anywhere, you can use a StyleRef
field to put it in the footer; see
