Default Slow Word 2003 (XP) Performance

Until a couple of days ago, ordinary tasks (i.e., formatting fonts, opening
dialogue boxes, selecting drop-down menu items, etc.) were quick. NOW it's
taking 10+ seconds before performing these simple tasks. I thought it was my
PC after Norizon got ahold of it and downloaded a bunch of their 'services' I
wouldn't use, so I removed them. After all that, resetting my modem,
downloading software updates from the MS site, and rebooting my PC, it's
STILL occurring. What happened?

I figured it out, y'all. It's 1 of Verizon's 'service applications' they
installed on my PC. After the Add/Delete Programs got rid of it, everything
is lovely once again.
