I do techniocal writing on assignments. I went from working with Word 1997 to
2003 to 2000 and now I am on 2002. I recall that I had some difficulty handling graphics when I first got 2003 but now I can't remember exactly what happened. I usually insert graphics into a table cell - they seem to be more stable that way in the manuals I do. However, with 2002, I am getting graphics that have those large white dots around them when selected instead of the small black squares. I don't seem to be able to crop them, and the CAD operator is sending them to me (WMF)with too much white space around them. When inserting the company logo (BMP) it comes in the say way. Also, when first inserted, only the dots show up, not the graphic. I have to move it a little bit, or even go to "view" and then close it before I can see them. These things were not happening with 2002 but on the old computer, so it has got to be a Word setting. I have been playing around with Tools/Options, but have not been able to fix the problem as yet. If anyone has solved this problem, please give me some ideas. I am going over to search the Knowledge Base - if anyone has some specific Knowledge Base article numbers that have been useful, I'd appreciate that information as well. Thanks again. -- Mary Lee |
