Using StyleRef for Headers
I am trying to use StyleRef to automatically insert chapter subheadings in
the Header. On every even page, the header is the Chapter name and title. On every odd page, a StyleRef field prints the name of the subsection within the chapter. This works fine except in one instance where a brief introductory section precedes the first subheading. In this case, the StyleRef field picks up the heading from the previous chapter since I haven't used that heading again in the document yet. Is there a fix for this? Any suggestions? |

Insert an empty paragraph mark and apply the subheading style to it. If necessary, format the paragraph mark with a font size of 1 pt to make it almost undetectable. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
