Hello,
I have installed the MS word 2007, before that i am using MS works. my
problem is when i click the word docment its not opening in ms word format,
its telling error and the document is saving in ms word component extension
and document icon also same as ms word document component. its not saving in
MS word doc icon. Can anyone pls help in this regard to open the word
document directly and how to change the icon.These problem i am facing only
if i save in Word 97-2003 format. If i save the document on docx, its opening.

You need to change the file association of DOC to Word 2007 - see
http://www.gmayor.com/Document_Not_Found.htm
