Page Numbers Different Odd and Even Pages
Word 2007
I need to start page numbers several pages into a document & have different odd and even pages so my page numbers appear on the outside corner of each page. I've searched out help on this & I still don't have a good understanding of how Word deals with different odd/even pages. I have a section break right before the page where I want page one to start. Everything is ok on the screen, but when I print, Word inserts a page before the section break & then my page numbers are on the wrong corner of the pages. I've tried to just insert another page before the section break, but it still inserts a page. I know it has something to do with different odd.even pages, I just can't grasp the concept. Thanks, Brad |

Page Numbers Different Odd and Even Pages
I'm still having trouble. I understand how to insert the page numbers &
format them for different pages, but I still get an unwanted blank page that shows up when I go to print preview (or print the document). That's what I don't understand. How do you deal with that extra page Word inserts. Page Numbers Different Odd and Even Pages
Word inserts a blank even-numbered page if you have an Odd Page section
start. If you begin a section with an odd number and have enabled "Different odd and even" or "Mirror margins," Word assumes you will be duplexing and will not let you start renumbering with 1 on an even page.
