Click in the address and look at the style applied to it. The style should be Envelope Address -- if it's some other style, select all the lines of the address and apply Envelope Address style to it. If the style is already Envelope Address, then it sounds like it's missing the frame part of its definition, which positions the address correctly. Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S to open the Styles pane, right-click the Envelope Address style, and choose Modify. In the Modify dialog, click the Format button at the bottom left and choose Frame. The default definition of the frame has the following settings: Text wrapping: Around Width: Exactly 5.5" Height: Exactly 1.38" Horizontal: Center, relative to Page, 0.13" from text Vertical: Bottom, relative to Page, 0" from text Both check boxes unchecked. The page at http://www.gmayor.com/changing_envelope_layout.htm has more instructions on setting the style. It's written for Word 2007, but this part hasn't changed for Word 2010. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
