[Sue Neyens]

I have many password protected documents in Word 2003. When I attemp to
remove the password protection in Word 2007 via Prepare / Encrypt, the
password from the 2003 version does not appear. Therefore, I am unable to
remove it. Is there any solution?

If the documents are password protected against opening then open the
document, applying the password(s). Then in Word 2007, from SaveAs Tools
General Options Remove the password(s) and click OK (not protect document!).
Save the document.
