Default How to delete sentences that contained a given word?

Say I want to delete all sentences that have the word 'castle' in it.
Replacing '.* castle *.' with '' doesn't work because sentences prior to one containing 'castle' would also be deleted (by virtue of the fact that wild card * also includes the period '.' character).
Any idea?
