Hello. I have a Word document with tracked changes. When Selecting Final as the Display For Review, completee rows and text is missing in the tables onscreen. Those rows do, however, appear when Final: Show Markup is selected.
Does anyone know how to get the Final setting to show everything (all text and rows in tables) onscreen? I have the View tab set to Print Layout. Although sections are missing onscreen, it actually does print out in its entirety. I wonder if it is a permissions or security setting. Our Implementation team asked me (the technical writer) to look into it, but none of my attempts have fixed it. Thanks for any suggestions on how to view the final document in its entirety (without missing table rows and text) onscreen. Kevin |

Which version of Word? I can't reproduce the problem in Word 2010.

Stefan,
I am using Word 2010, but I believe the Implementation guy I got the document from is using 2007. However, when we were on the phone together, he reported exactly what I was seeing. The document is mostly comprised of tables and some rows are completely missing - not just the text in those rows. The same rows were missing for both of us. Really odd. Thanks a lot for replying. Stefan,
I've noticed that this doesn't happen when using the Draft, Outline, and Web Layout views. So, I have recommended Implementation view it in one of those views when editing. That way their screen will match what is printed. The Print Layout and Full Screen Reading views still show missing columns. Since there is a workaround of using other views, they are good with that. So while it remains a mystery to me why the Print view has those glitches, it is not a real problem. Thanks for all of your help. Kevin |

I forgot to ask: No luck on the end-of-row markers, then? (For more on
nonprinting marks, see http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/NonPrintChars.htm.) -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Stefan Blom" wrote in message ... Make sure that you didn't mark the entire table row, that is, up to and
including the end-of-row marker, for deletion. As long as you have only marked the *text* for deletion the row should still be visible in Final view.
