Images take time to SHOW up in Word
Hi,
Probably a wrong group to post. I have Word Docs which contain reasonable number of Images and text. When I open the doc am able to see text immediately but Image display takes a long time. Is there some way I can speed up the display of images/pictures in Word Docs? Please guide me. Thanks a lot, Hari India |

Hello Hari-
IMHO, this is more likely a hardware issue than a Word issue. Some considerations are CPU type & speed, graphics processor speed, video RAM as well as amount & speed of system RAM (memory). Available disk space can also be a contributing factor. Could fragmentation be a factor? Another concern is the type and size of the image files... what is a "reasonable number" of image files if each one is 12MB as opposed to 400KB? Most any program will load text faster than graphics, but as long as the images _do_ load and the text loads "immediately", I would tend to suspect something other than program performance.
