Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to know what was the filename of an image that was imported into Word (Office XP). We have a document made by someone who imported some tif files. We want to know their filesnames so that we process the images further. The images were imported as files (not as links to files). thanks, Sam. -- Please remove the underscores ( the '_' symbols) from my email address to obtain the correct one. Apologies, but the fudging is to remove spam. |

Unfortunately, if there's no link, then there's no file path info.

Unfortunately, if there's no link, then there's no file path info. Too bad. I already had this hunch (tried all the relevant menus to see if they would divulge the filename) but wanted to ask others just to be thorough. Anyhooow, thanks for confirming. Try the script editor - ALT+SHIFT+F11. This will give you the filename,
though maybe not the path, and more information about the structure of the document than you really need ![]() -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Sam wrote: Apparently, _Suzanne S. I do see this information in the "imagedata src" info (the filename is
truncated in my case because it contains punctuation--an apostrophe). -- Suzanne S. I think I will try this on the document. Thanks a ton, Sam. -- (Remove all underscores,if any, from my email address to get the correct one.
