When I click on a Word document saved on my desktop it appears to take a much
longer time to open than it used to. However, if I first open Word and then open the document, it is instantaneous. My computer is 5 months old, a Dell Dimension 8400 with 1 GB RAM. No viruses, no spyware, defragged. Related to this, when I right click on the document on the desktop, the options that used to appear quickly, take a long time to displal (Open, New, Edit, Print, etc..) Thoughts? Thanks! Howard |
