In protected Word document, with some sections available to edit, Word
appears to be highlighting text which recipient can edit. I do not want this text highlighted. I find that when recipient tries to edit, the Protection Pane is displayed and they can uncheck the Highlight Regions I Can Edit box. Is there any way to design or default the document so it does not highlight the regions which user can edit? -Thank You |

Hi ?B?YnBidWxs?=,
In protected Word document, with some sections available to edit, Word appears to be highlighting text which recipient can edit. I do not want this text highlighted. I find that when recipient tries to edit, the Protection Pane is displayed and they can uncheck the Highlight Regions I Can Edit box. Is there any way to design or default the document so it does not highlight the regions which user can edit? You might be able to do this using a macro that turns this option off when the document is opened (AutoOpen macro). No way to change it in Word UI, though, that I'm aware of.
