Save Word doc as jpeg or tif?
Is it possible to save a Word document as a jpeg or tif? Thanks,

I don't know how the experts do this, but I was able to do it by:
1) Generating a Acrobat pdf file from the Word document and then 2) Saving the pdf file as a jpeg or tif But to do this, I think you would need a full version of Acrobat. "Hank" wrote: Is it possible to save a Word document as a jpeg or tif? Thanks, Hank |

There is no function within Word to do this, and your approach will
certainly require the expensive addition of Acrobat. The alternative is to use software with a driver that 'prints' scrolling screen output to a graphics file. One that works particularly well is SnagIt from www.techsmith.com , but there are others. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Oliver St Quintin wrote: I don't know how the experts do this, but I was able to do it by: 1) Generating a Acrobat pdf file from the Word document and then 2) Saving the pdf file as a jpeg or tif But to do this, I think you would need a full version of Acrobat. Thanks. I tried SnagIt and it not only makes for a crisper tif image, but
also much smaller - 90 KB versus 17,108 KB!!! Needless to say, I will be purchasing SnagIt and redoing my tifs. SnagIt is brilliant and will simply do many of your graphics related tasks
that Photoshop makes a meal of. I use it to illustrate my web site, and its batch mode to shrink images from my digital camera for publication. It will also convert between a huge variety of graphics formats. I agree. Allow me to put in another plug for SnagIt. I don't use more than a
tiny fraction of its features, I'm sure, but I have so found it can handle just about anything I need it to do. -- Suzanne S.
