I have created a new template in Word 2002 for our proposal people. I have
created templates for years, but W2002 is giving me fits. I used the Normal.dot template to save as to a new template. I based all my styles on "no styles." I sent the template out to everyone, and people keep coming back with different issues, almost all different. One person's table bullet is numbered (no bullet). Another's table bullet has NO bullet. Some heading's keep with next is no longer on. When I go into my master template, these problems do not exist. Does this have to do with Word 2002 saving templates in different places? Should I try to explain how to save to the correct place? Should I make the template a global add-in? HELP!!! |

If you used the Bullets and Numbering buttons to apply bullets and numbering
to these styles, then they will very likely reflect settings in the individual user's Registry. Make sure that the numbering (including bullets) is linked to the style by using Outline numbering (see http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numb...Numbering.html). -- Suzanne S. Bullets and numbering are different! See: How to create numbered headings or
outline numbering in your Word document http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numb...Numbering.html.
