Word Viewer Fonts
Our shop floor personnel use locked-down workstations with one defined
printer: a generic/text barcode printer needed to print barcoded tickets. They are not pemitted any other defined printers, so the barcode printer is the default printer. The shop floor personnel have access to a collection of Word documents that describe job functions and safety procedures. Word Viewer is used to display these documents. Since the only defined printer is a generic/text, when viewed, the documents display with the Courier font. This font makes it difficult to read most of the documents. Is there a way to force Word Viewer to use the TrueType fonts that the document was created with? |

Hi Kurt,
Probably not. Both Word and the viewer present on screen what the current printer driver says it can print. You might consider setting up a Truetype capable printer that outputs to a 'dummy' port ID or use PDF files, HTML, CHM or similar for your files. ========= "Kurt" wrote in message ...
