I have been given a word document that uses FORMTEXT fields for the user to
enter numbers and then the form calculates sums from what user enters. I want to change the form so that the input numbers for the form are merged from an existing access db, not entered by the user. Then, I want the numbers that are merged in from access to be summed in FORMTEXT calcuations just as if the user had entered the data. Is this possible to do? |

I would never say that it is not possible, but it is going to depend upon
your ability as you will not be able to do it using mailmerge. You may be better off to use an Access report, or see the article "Access a database and insert into a Word document the data that you find there" at: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/InterDev/GetDataFromDB.htm -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis. Doug Robbins - Word MVP "artgilbert" wrote in message ...
