How do I print labels with automatic sequential numbering?
I use word to print shipping labels from my label printer. On very large
shipments, I have been printing the labels and then hand writing "box 1 of 30, box 2 of 30, etc". I was wondering if there is a way I can type in the number of labels needed, and it would automatically insert the numbers sequentially. I would appreciate any info, as this would save me a lot of time. Thank you, Heather |

Easiest thing is to probably set up a datasource in Excel and use that as a
basis for mailmerging the labels. See the article "Mail Merge to Labels with Word XP" on fellow MVP Graham Mayor's website at http://www.gmayor.com/mail_merge_lab...th_word_xp.htm -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis. Doug Robbins - Word MVP "wordheather123" wrote in message ...
