I am working with Word 2003.
We created a merge document that includes information from Excel into a Word Document. The inserted fields have a grey background. How can you print the document without the grey backgrounds? Thanks in advance for helping. |

The shading of fields is controlled via ToolsOptionsView where in the Show
section of the dialog, the Field shading can be set to Never, When selected or Always. That shading however does not print and if you have actually executed the mailmerge, there will be no fields in the document that is created or sent to the printer as the fields are converted to display the actual data. -- Hope this helps.
