when using MS word, I cannot select a script font from the pull down menue,
but this font exists in the Fonts File as well as others which do not show up
in the pull down menue. How can this be repaired? I've looked at all the
help sections and nthing on this particular problem.

No version of Word later than Word 95 will allow you to use the vector fonts
"Script", "Roman", or "Modern", or the screen-only fonts such as "Small
Fonts". This is by design, as described at
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=291354.

Use Google to search for TrueType fonts that appear similar to the ones you
want to use.
