I have a long Word 2003 document that regularly changes from portrait to
landscape view and back (new section each time). I want to use the same header (and footer) throughout the document, but want the automatic page numbers to automatically align with the right margin in the header whether the section orientation is landscape or portrait. This can be done manually by moving the right-align tab for the page number at each section change, but how can it be done automatically? |

If you have nothing in the header except the page number, use paragraph
alignment (right) instead of the tab. If that's not feasible, then the next best thing is to define two header styles, one for portrait, one for landscape, with the tab stops set appropriately, and apply the appropriate style to each header (will require unlinking, unfortunately). -- Suzanne S.
