Hi ?B?RGF2aWR3?=,
I am thinking of giving away a set of Word 6 disks with my old computer. Will Word 6 run under the existing Windows 98? It should. I can't remember if I ever tried exactly that combination, but I believe I did. If the OS is upgraded to Windows XP Home will it still run? Are you sure the old computer is fast enough to support this OS? I'm pretty sure I never tried Word 6 on WinXP (any flavor), but it should run. Where you could run into a problem is when installing. Word might look for Share.exe (I think that's the file). The problem isn't insurmountable, though, and has been addressed any number of times in this group, you ought to be able to scare it up on google, if you need it.
