Default Why does my apostropies look letter i, change?

when typing on Microsoft Word, my apostropies appear on my screen as the
letter i, and the same is when I print. I currently have Windows 2003.

Knowing the version of Word might be more relevant...

Do you see this in any other applications, such as Notepad?

which font are you using in Word when you see this?
