Cannot get rid of saved document
Just after I installed an update to Word in May 05, I typed a letter and I
think I may have inadvertently saved it as the blank template or something. Now, whenever I start Word, it opens to that letter. I have tried everything I can think of to clear it. I just want to be able to open to a blank page. Any suggestions? |

Hi there.
It seems that you have saved the document in Normal.Dot template. Just rename Normal.Dot to oldNormal.dot and you will get a blank new document next time you open word!! To rename Normal.dot, visit http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821715#5 regards Suraj Mandrekar "Jay Freedman" wrote: On Tue, 7 Jun 2005 06:43:04 -0700, "Knight13" wrote: Just after I installed an update to Word in May 05, I typed a letter and I think I may have inadvertently saved it as the blank template or something.
