Dear Word users,

I am having a very weird problem with my word here. I am using Word
2002 with SP3 and am experiencing this problem. When i tried to insert
page number it will show up with a grey background. Is there any
settings to be tamper with to get rid of this?

On the View tab of Tools | Options, set "Field shading" to "None" or "When
selected." Attachments are not permitted in these NGs.

Go under Tools menu - Options - View tab - on the right hand side you
will see field shading, you want to select never or when selected and
they will disappear.
