Default Can't Delete a page

I am working with Word 2003, on an XP system.
I have a 25 page document, of which there are only 23 pages of text.
Usually I can just put the cursor on a page, and either delete or backspace,
and the page is removed. This doesn't work with either one of these
pages...The pages are blank, and I can't seem to delete the last 2!

Any suggestions?
