Default Viewing complete menu item list

I am using Word 2002. When I click on the menu heading to open a menu (File,
Edit, etc.) in the menu bar, not all menu items are displayed, and I have to
click on the arrow on the bottom of the (short) list to see them all. How
can I get all items to display from the start? My computer used to do this,
but at some point started showing only recently used menu items instead of
the full list.

Hi-

Go to ToolsCustomize and on the Options page set the appropriate checkboxes.

On the Options tab of Tools | Customize, check the box for "Always show full
menus."

Thanks to both of you. That worked.
