I have Office 2003 (Win XP) and when I search for Normal.dot in Windows
Explorer, it finds nothing. I made sure to view hidden files but no luck. Now
what should I do?

Hi JC,

This quote from another post
(http://groups-beta.google.com/group/...management/msg
/d2ced16925714ee2?hl=en) may help you find it:

--------

I have finally managed to locate the normal.doc file but it took a bit of
doing. I'm using office 2003 and for some reason when you open the templates
folder the files inside are still hidden even though I had checked the "view
all hidden files" radio button.

I had to go to the folder options and uncheck the "hide system files" so
that the search would show the normal.doc file.
