I am using word 2003. My job is to make responses to some questionnaires, get
it reviewd by a number of peoples on email and then finalising & submitting it to final authorities. Reviewers in my organisation donot like using track changes. So now for comparing 2 documents i have to use either a 3rd party software or rely on microsoft capabilities. I have tried Deltaview trial version. It works excellent in the manner i want it to. But the problem is that the organisation is not willing to part with a single penny & want to have full utilisation of its manpower (read myself). Can anybody help me on the following: a. Is Compare & Merge document command in Word 2003 completely reliable as compared to Deltaview or some other 3rd party softwares? b. Can we change Compare & Merge document command output so as to get something similar to Deltaview redline output? Or is there some macro that can be written for this. FYKI I am a novice to macros. c. Is there anyother free 3rd party software similar to Deltaview? If so, can you kindly list the website? I would be obliged if anybody rescue me out of this at the earliest. |
