Default How many undoes in Word?

How many undoes does one have in Word?
I train and like to be able to tell the students how many in each application.
I know that Excel has 16 undoes, PowerPoint from 3-150, but I'm not so sure
about Word. Is there a set number and/or maximum number of undoes in Word?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

The number of Undo operations in Word is limited only by available memory
and hard disk space.

The article at http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=211489 doesn't
specifically mention the Undo feature. From observation, though, there is no
specific number; it depends on the amount of available memory and the
complexity of the steps that are stored. I know I've seen upwards of 3000
entries.
