I highlighted a list in a Word document and clicked on Columns to set it up
in 2 columns. The page numbering in the footer started over and the only way I could get it to go back to the continuous pages was to remove the columns and set it up in a table instead. Using Word 2000. |

Adding the columns creates a new section. You need to put your cursor in
that section, then format the page number to "Continue from previous section". You can get to the Page Number Format dialog from Header and Footer view (but it may be difficult to access your column section from there) or from Insert Page Numbers Format button (but make sure you close out of that dialog without actually inserting new numbers). -- Margaret Aldis - Microsoft Word MVP Syntagma partnership site: http://www.syntagma.co.uk Word MVP FAQ site: http://www.word.mvps.org "Scarlett's Owner" Scarlett's wrote in message ...
