I lost my hard drive!!! Now I have XP and I can't get my computer to read
disk 2 to install. Is it comtatable or do I have to spend more money to get another version? Please help me. I may end up going low tech and booting computer out the window!! -- Lisa Pouliot |

Please remember that throwing your computer out of the window will violate
your warranty. When you say it won't read it, what exactly do you mean? -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] "Lisa" (donotspam) wrote in message ... I lost my hard drive!!! I put in disk one, select word , it asks for disk 2. I put in disk 2, it
starts doing its thing then.... It say that it can't be read through specified device. I tried both regular and burner drives but no luck. Any thoughts??? A short drop with a sudden stop out the window would make me feel better!!!! "JoAnn Paules [MSFT MVP]" wrote: Please remember that throwing your computer out of the window will violate your warranty. I can understand the desire to watch that sudden stop however computers tend
to work less than optimally after said stop. Have you tried cleaning the disk? I know, this sounds silly but you'd be surprised what a smudge can do. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] "Lisa" (donotspam) wrote in message ... I'm not qualified to answer *that* question.
I'd suggest trying to load the program on another system. If it doesn't work, you have a bad disk. If it does work, scratch your head and say "What the heck is going on here?!" -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] "Lisa" (donotspam) wrote in message ... Did that too. Still nothing.
