Default AutoText in AutoNew macro

I have created a template with an autotext in it. Is there a way to get the
AutoNew Macro to run that autotext everytime a user bases a document on that
template?

I think you're confused as to the purpose of autotext. Its reason for
existence is to let you type a short "name" and have it replaced by a
longer (or specially formatted) version.

If you want the same text to appear in every new document based on a
particular template, just place that text in the body of the template.
There's no need to make autotext from it for that purpose.

If I've misinterpreted what you're trying to do, then the answer is
yes, you can make AutoNew insert an autotext -- although you also have
to define where you want it to be inserted. This is properly a topic
for the newsgroup microsoft.public.word.vba.beginners, so please post
any further questions there.

Run that autotext?

Why not just put an AutoText field in your template and update the field if
needed. (I suspect but do not know that it will update upon document
creation automatically.)
