Do you just want to see them or do you want to print them?

See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NonPrintChars.htm for the
characters you describe, which are not "special characters" (for which see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/InsertSpecChars.htm) but "nonprinting characters" or "formatting marks." As the first name implies, they do not print, and arranging to print them would be WAY more trouble than it would be worth. Most users get around this with a screen capture. -- Suzanne S. Joan,
I would like to see them on the screen and on the page when I print.
