I wish to make a poster with large fonts and cannot get WORD to go above 72!
Any help will be appreciated,

Try this - highlight the font size on the toolbar and then type in the size
you would like and hit enter. That should do it for you. I hope this helps

1638, and press the Enter key.

BTW- You can also use decimal values (such as 288.5)

But only in half-point increments (unlike Publisher, which will do down to
tenths of a point).
