How to send document so recipient NEVER sees markups?
I need to send a document via email, but I don't want recipient to be able to
see the markups/deletions, etc. I've searched for 2 days to try to figure out how to do this. I know how to turn the markups on and off, but not send the document so others are unable to turn them on. |

What you are doing is just hiding the changes. You need to actually remove
them. How to send document so recipient NEVER sees markups?
Office 2007
I have tried all of the methods of turning off Track Changes, accepting, not show markup (each un-chedked), selecting Final and saving the document. I bring the document back up and it still throws it back into the Final Showing Markup. No matter what I do it won't go away. What do i have to do to make it so it comes in the Final display mode. This was also an issue in Office 2003, it was next to impossible to turn the stuff off. Can you provide a solution, it would be greatly appreciated. Another request would be a big'ol button that says, turn off tracking, and everything that has to do with tracking is turned off. This is really a time killer having to fool with this. Sadly there have been too many hours spent with this since 2003 and now even more in 2007. The recipient controls the view, you control the content. The only thing you

Turning off Track Changes just stops future changes from being marked.
Selecting Final view just hides the markup. To completely remove the markup, you must use Accept All Changes in Document and Remove All Comments from Document. -- Suzanne S. Suzanne you are my new Hero!
If I had a cape I would send it to you. It was the deleting of the comments that finally turned off that additional part of white space hanging off the right page border. This might be a good suggestion for the existing KB articles, the online help, etc. There have been many people asking about this. The solution for many was to just create a new document and transfer the stuff until they got what they wanted. Yes, pretty sad, but true. Again, I Thank you and X-BOX thanks you so much for this! In Word 2007, you can also use the Office Button=Prepare=Inspect Document choice to have Comments/Revisions 'exposed' and available for removal, but it rejects rather than accepts all pending changes. Some folks think that the Office Button=Prepar=Final choice would logically incorporate changes into a 'final' document, but actually it basically just makes the document read only and leaves the unaccepted changes in place. ============== "Mike Hammerfish" wrote in message ... My problem is that the "accept" buttoms are not active / show in gray....
Details: I have Word 3. All the reviewers on the document show checked but I cannot activate the "accept" buttons. I only have the "previous" and 'next" buttons: this takes forever am dI'm not not gettig to accept all changes. "Suzanne S.
