Since getting Microsoft Office 2003 with my Dell computer I have been unable
to highlight text and then hit the delete button to remove the highlighted area. What button do I need to click in settings to make it work? Right now I have to hit "Control X" to delete the highlighted text. |

Found this response in another post:
In Word, click on Tools | Options | Edit tab | check the "Typing replaces selection" box | OK. That is not correct.
In ToolsOptionsGeneral, uncheck the boxes for "Help for WordPerfect users" and "Navigation keys for WordPerfect users" -- Hope this helps.
