Default Word prompts to save changes to normal template

When quitting word prompts to save changes in the normal.dot template. We
have tried the suggestions Microsoft KB article 291352 but these are no good.

Has anyone else encountered the same problem or found a work around? Any
tips will be greatly appreciated.

This only happens with Word 2002 SP3.

Hi

I have the same problem but not for all users of my PC. I'm using Windows
XP & Office 97. I have 3 accounts created, 1 for myself as an administrator.
With this account Word works fine and closes down normally.

I've created limited accounts for both my daughters and they both get the
problem described. If I make thier accounts an administrator account the
problem goes away so it appears to be something to do with not being an
administrator. I've read through that article and can't see that I have any
of the problems described.

Any ideas?

Regards
Gidders
