Default merge to fax

I am runnings Win XP Pro with Office XP. I am attempting to merge to fax
from a word document using an excel spreadsheet as my data source. I have
gone to: http://www.tips.pjmsn.me.uk/t0001.htm and created the msmail.ini
file to get the button on the toolbar to display - and have followed all the
merge to fax steps - however it doesnt actually send the fax (nor give me any
reason why - or what it did do as a matter of fact).

I also tried the macro given on this page, did the modifying where required
and it appears to fall over at the line:
Set oFaxServer = CreateObject("FaxServer.FaxSerÂ*ver")
giving me the error "can not create ActiveX object".

Does anybody know how I can get this to work? I dont want to be doing all
of this faxing manually - it will take me days.

Thanks in advance

I should have added that I have checked the code in the win.ini file as
posted in the previous threads and its all there.
